Gene Edwin Galarza

Gene was born in Hartford Hospital. My mother was in labor with Gene for 5 hours. Gene was a healthy baby he weighed 7lbs. 11oz. and 19 inches long. He had lots of hair! Gene was a good baby not picky with his food, and was not a screamer. He gave no trouble with his sleeping habits he was a happy baby. Gene began teething between 5-6mos.He started walking before the age of 1yrs old. Gene was out of diapers before he was 2yrs. old.       

Growing up Huey had a rough life. I'm not going to sugar coat anything! for those of you who become upset or offended when reading this "oh well". We all know I'm the type of person who keeps it real! Huey only lived  about 5 to 6yrs. with our mother during that time, he experienced and saw things that no child should have went through. Yes he was my mothers favorite but he still went through the same things me & my other brother did. From my mom's care him & my brother went to live with our grandmother. I won't go into detail about the things he went through but all I can say is "my brother was dealt a shity had of cards" Yes he may have been a hand full but the things he experienced molded him into the angry young man he was. Huey then lived with several other people! Including his father who had just got involved in his life. That home was no better than either. From there Huey came to live with me, then I got custody of him. Me and Huey went through hell with each other. We had fights everyday, he was not used to me being in a position of autority over him. He wanted me just to be his sister and i couldn't be I wish I never I had to be in that position but I could no longer sit back and see my brother contiuously be abused! While living with me he did all kinds of crazy things once again I won't go into detail. Huey had heart though, even though we fought alot we loved eachother, if something happened to me he was there. The same for me I was always there for my brother. I know he did wrong but no matter what that was my flesh and blood! I had to be there our mom wasn't she had "all her issues." Me, Huey, and our other brother were always close mad love for eachother!!!! Basicly I became their mother. Don't get me wrong though we did have alot of good times together too:). too be continued.....       

Huey passed away on a saturday morning on May 27, 2006 at the age of 19. He was in a fatal car crash. Huey was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:28 a.m. His cause of death was multiple blunt force trama. There four other individuals in the car who also passed away one of them was Huey's cousin Edmundo "Mundo" Carrasquillo Jr. age 21. there is also a memorial site for Edmundo. The other three individuals were Luis "Cuban" Andino, Brandon Shannon, & Mary.
